Support Stroke Foundation in the Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB 2022

Our team’s search for a new destination that delivers on the promise of epic scenery, super fun trails, and the ultimate trail running high has come to an end – and it just had to be here.

The Snowy Mountains... rooftop of Australia and mother nature at her breathtaking best. Snow gum forests pierced by crystal clear mountain streams. Alpine meadows and granite outcrops. Thredbo, Perisher, Charlottes Pass, Crackenback, Lake Jindabyne, Guthega… names synonymous with adventure and all part of this new, unique trail running festival that honours its pedigree and welcomes friends new and old to something a little bit special.

Developed by the hearts and minds behind Oceania’s premier trail runs Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB and Tarawera Ultramarathon by UTMB, Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB has been created to extract that same endorphin kick you get from running any of these iconic events.

With four distances to choose from in the Kosci27, Kosci50, Kosci100 or KosciMiler, there’s something for every trail runner, from the first timer to the ultra-enthusiast. The journey is about discovering what is possible for you. Trails are mostly non-technical and highly runnable, with courses expertly crafted by UTA founder Tom Landon-Smith, linking together routes that create trail running nirvana as you ascend to the highest point in Australia.

Trail running is a community that we’re proud to belong to. Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko by UTMB is designed with that community at our heart; with unrivalled support crew access, unique spectator points, and an unmistakeable trail running vibe. You’ll need to be quick though, with extremely limited spots available on each of the start lines, the FOMO is going to be all too real.

Kosci is also part of the UTMB World Series, with all distances carrying the opportunity to earn Running Stones, the pathway to qualification for UTMB Mont Blanc.
